Franco Piza is a leading Public Accountant and specialist in Financial Management and Organizational Development, with extensive experience in international programs focused on sustainability in the financial sector. With more than 29 years of experience in the Latin American financial sector, Franco brings a unique perspective and deep knowledge of the field.
Franco currently holds the position of Head of the Sustainability Area at Grupo Bancolombia, where he heads the conglomerate's sustainability strategy and acts as its representative on the international sustainability agenda. His leadership has been crucial in driving significant initiatives that promote sustainable development and corporate responsibility. In addition, it has been fundamental in the systematic implementation and evaluation of risks and opportunities related to environmental, social and corporate governance factors.
In addition, Franco is a member of the Strategic Committee of the Global Investor Alliance for Sustainable Development, an initiative of the United Nations Secretary General to mobilize investment and funding to achieve the 2030 agenda. He is also part of the Expert Advisory Group of the Science-Based Goals Initiative, where he contributes to defining goals of the global financial sector in the face of climate change.
