Foundations

When we started, 85% of environmental projects failed before their second year due to lack of visibility, connections and funding.

Understanding this information was decisive in starting Green Awards.

Although we have managed to gradually improve that figure, we still have a long way to go. That's why every year we work tirelessly to ensure that no agent of change is left behind due to lack of contacts, resources or recognition.

THE CONTEXT
Scientists constantly remind us that nature is in a critical state.
Every minute, we are alerted to the agony of our seas, the rampant deforestation and the alarming loss of species.
It's an urgent call to action. They urge us to change our lifestyles, to transform our decisions and attitudes.

This movement isn't just a celebration, it's a recognition of those individuals who are already leading this change. We reward those who create opportunities, inspire transformations in their communities and improve the environment around us. Because those who are working tirelessly for a sustainable future should not find more obstacles, but rather support and a more certain path.
The Awards were designed

With the support of three pillars:

SDG Agenda 2050

Sustainable Development Goals

Founders
Twenty years ago, Gustavo, Bianca and José Javier came together with a clear purpose: to embellish Ecuador, our region and the entire world.

Throughout these two decades, they have led innovative programs and led projects that have paved the way to make the dream of the Green Awards a reality.

In 2013, they materialized the first edition of this movement, which has not only exhibited, trained, connected and awarded more than 20,000 projects in Ibero-America, but has also inspired an exceptionally conscious and committed community. Together, we feel and work tirelessly to prove that we are the change we want to see in the world.
