WWF

World Wildlife Fund

For more than 60 years, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has been working to build a future where people live in harmony with nature. Present in more than 100 countries, WWF is one of the largest and most respected conservation organizations in the world, promoting global actions to stop environmental degradation and protect the planet's biodiversity.

For 20 years, WWF has been working on the most biodiverse landscapes in Ecuador with initiatives and programs that address the main threats to our planet: climate change, habitat loss and the overexploitation of natural resources; all through science, collaboration with local partners and innovation.

Today, WWF is leading efforts in our country to restore key ecosystems, strengthen the management of protected areas, establish connectivity corridors, conserve umbrella species such as jaguar, river dolphin, shark, turtle and whale, promote fishing and sustainable agricultural and aquaculture production; and thereby ensure that nature continues to be a source of life and well-being for those who inhabit this planet.
